My RemoteApp webclient "infrastructure" has been going pretty good. People are using and enjoying the experience.

I want to put in some access controls and can't really find a good resource.

I have a RemoteAccessSecGroup that has my people in it that should be able to reach it. It's working but not to the extent I'd like it to.

I set this group to have access in the Remote Desktop Gateway Manager as well as under the permissions for each published app in the QuickSessionCollection management tool.

Want I would like is that after a user hits the landing page, they enter a username that is not in that group and they are present with a "You do not have access to this page etc etc".

Is that something that is possible. Right now a user will look to be authenticated past that screen but is still given the screen behind it, although it's blank because they can't access the apps.

Is this overkill for what I am asking?

Regards,
Mike P

It’s not unreasonable but it’s not in the box either. Put it on UserVoice, and I‘ll be the first to upvote it, not that it’s going to help much.

@Evgenij

Well, understood.

Do you think it could be accomplished with Authorization Rules in IIS?

Otherwise, judging from some older posts, similar questions have been asked and a couple MS reps said to just put a deny acl on the /RDWeb folder. I tried it and while it works, it's not very easy to manage both an allow group and deny group.
