Can anyone personally recommend a tried and tested fail-over product (i.e. DoubleTake) or other solution for a small business server 2008 R2 that is economically priced?  This is for a small accounting practice and I'd like to recommend a reasonably priced and reliable product.

DoubleTake is a fail over product?  I thought that was for migrating to new Servers?

Are they VM?  I think Joe has some experience with VEEAM.

also to tim's point, I am using Veam based on Joe's recommendation and it is a very solid product.

Veeam as mentioned has a free tool that will backup a server in a virtual world.
They also have Veeam Endpoint which will do physical and virtual. Again free.
Their licensed model is about €800 a protected socket for unlimited Guests.
That does backup, replication and the better license also does failover and failover management.
