I want to demote a DC, but
"uninstall-Windowsfeature AD-Domain-Services"  and /or uninstall-addsdomaincontroller" gives me this :

I'm logged on with a domain account that is member of Domain Admins and Enterprise Admins.
However a "whoami groups" only shows SIDs and not group names, and that's not normal either.

BTW: I do not want to do a metadata cleanup from a working DC, that's not the problem (not yet [wink]) .

The malfunctioning DC will only boot in DSRM mode, and I'm trying to make it a member server or workgroup server, but I can't.  The only option I have is to shut the server down an install a new one, but I'm trying to prevent that.

Please check for remnants of the server. That you had to use Forceremoval means that he could not update or delete some entries in the scheme.
