So I have to send about 500 gigs of xray images to an outside vendor. I have an external hard drive ready to go.

So I just used VeraCrypt to encrypt the disk volume and everything went swimmingly.

But, I realize now that the vendor will not be able to access the contents of the disk even if they have VeraCrypt installed and the password.

How would the Minasi intelligentsia suggest I comply with HIPAA when sending these images to a vendor?

Is there another encryption tool that I can use that will just allow me to give the vendor a password and access the data? All be in a LOOOOONNNNGGGGG password?

Thanks in advanced if you have any thoughts.

Regards,
Michael

I thought about it but would the vendor also need the recovery key, not just the password?

Nope; password is sufficient. And an OS modern enough to understand Bitlocker To Go. Having some experience with healthcare I know that this can be an issue ...

Hey gent....wanted to say thank you. I was not aware of the BitLocker 2 Go version and\or capabilities.

Looks like it should work for us. Much thanks!

Michael
