Dear all,

One of my Terminal Servers was preventing new connections this morning due to a problem with the Search Indexer:

Untitled.png

When users tried to connect they got 'Remote Desktop is currently busy...' errors.

The only way I could get the connections working again was to remotely terminate this process 3284. Once the process was terminated, I could logon again. I also rebuilt the index as a matter of course.

Does anyone know what causes this problem? What is this long running transaction? The server was actually rebooted last night for Windows Updates and the problems started just after the server came back up.

Thanks, but I'm not sure any of these apply to me [frown]

I'm running Windows Server 2012 R2, so the 2003 solution doesn't apply.
I'm not running Exchange Server on this server (it's just a Terminal Server farm member)

The error message also doesn't mention wuaueng.dll SUS20ClientDataStore.
