So according to the latest browser reports, chrome has overtaken IE.

http://windowsitpro.com/windows-10/google-chrome-overtakes-microsoft-s-internet-explorer-edge-nowhere-be-found

And
Quote:

Edge has essentially dropped off the face of the Earth. While Microsoft continues to boast that Edge is the future of the web, users are installing Chrome. But now every search on a Windows 10 device, powered by Cortana and Bing, will be fused with Edge. I’m not sure what to think here, but wasn’t “choice” the reason for some antitrust issues of the past?

I wonder, does this mean that Cortana will now work outside of the US?

Tim,

While some browser checks offer up a generic answer of Chrome, there is more to browser replies than relying on that.

Edge also reports a few other items used to distinguish it from Chrome.

And

I looked at/ for the site NetMArketShare and the 41% ish for IE is made up of IE 8, 10, 11 and Edge.

...one of these is Edge and one is Chrome....

Oh, but Edge is so FAST!!! There isn't a browser anywhere that serves up errors as fast as it does!  (or as frequently ...)

What kind, Anne?  I use it all the time and don't get errors.... I just long for some nonexistent Chrome features! [smile]

Then again, I'm on the Insider hub so I've got newer versions.  Basically I find it stable but minimal.

OK, confession time, it's been several months since I even tried to use the thing. I sent my Win10 test laptop back to the mother ship.

Keep in mind, I eat, sleep, breathe, and *delete* SharePoint, so that was my primary goal for testing.  It was as if SharePoint and O365 were an afterthought.  Pretty basic functions didn't work.

Very interesting!  If you ever get a chance to give it a whack again after the summer Win 10 release (I'm assuming that there will be one), I'd love to hear the outcome.  I use Edge with O365 regularly but again it's the "secret" latest version and seems not to cause any troubles.  Thanks.
