I was surfing for tech books.
At the bottom of the page was the ubiquitous "Other titles you may be interested in" footer.

ROFLMFAO!!!!!

I can't decide if I should take it personally (ROFL.... and.... uh..... NO.) or if it's just saying something about the bigger "geek crowd" in general...

Who needs a book for that? That's easy, always have the latest updates on devices used in the bedroom. ๐Ÿ˜‰

ROFL!!

Schitt.... you got me cracking up....

I'd thought of replying with something about firmware updates, which got me imagining a book of Cisco commands for the bedroom, like "no shut my interface", and that somehow led me to imagining a RADIUS server in the bedroom for all the "IoT toys" (OMG.... ROFL), but then this thought popped in to my head about "seeing a rogue device in the logs" and having to explain THAT....

Thanks for the laugh!

I don't know what I find more disturbing: Kathys reading habits or learning that 'teledildonics' is a thing...

I'm like "teledildonics!"  Sweeeet!!!   I gotta read this link!!

So I get about 1/2 way thru and there's this juicy bit:

Quote:
When Bluetooth is used to hack into and take over a sex toy, itโ€™s called โ€œscrewdrivingโ€---a term coined by Pen Test Partners in 2017...

Unable to resist (I tried!  I really did!  well, I kinda did! anyways, I thought about resisting!  okay, I thought about resisting, but actually, it was the other day and had nothing to do with this!), I followed the link to the screwdriving article.

THIS IS PRECIOUS.

THIS IS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO PRECIOUS.

Here's the image that introduces the article:

(I'm freekin' dyin' with laughter over here...  I'm gonna wake up in the middle of the night and the thought of this is gonna pop up outta nowhere, and I'm gonna start laughing again... so it'll be like 4 AM and I'll end up on the floor, laughing hysterically, while my poor kitty looks on from her parking spot next to my pillows.)

Yeah, and I was saying that none of them was ;-) Because there are things that are not to be talked about in public, and one of them is bluetooth visibility of... ok, strike that.

Public?  We're talking in PUBLIC?!?

But E, you swore no one wou... <looks sideways at you and raises one eyebrow>

Next you're gonna tell me plaintext can be hacked.

BTW - your ability to "hit the ball back" at me (and usually from a direction I never expected!) is always a joy.  It's too much fun!  Well, except for the fact that you're much smarter than me - I mean, let's face it... it's only a matter of time before you outplay me and I end up smacking myself in the face, instead of hitting the ball.  ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
