I found an interesting issue this morning.

I had created some VIRTS in my lab and I found that I had forgot to turn on Network discovery.

The typical services SSDP Discovery, DNS Client, Upnp were disabled so I turned them on and I was able to ping them from outside the AD domain.   But I could not RDP into them from outside the domain.

The rights were set up ok, but the only difference was that IPv6 was not being used and the NIC said it was connected to an unknown network.   I added IPV6 to the NICS and it all worked.    I found my issue.

Now there is perhaps some instruction that tells me to do that but I had to learn the hard way.

Why did you disable IPv6? Isn't it on by default?
