I formally nominate the return of this forum as the best news of this very young 2016 year.

Ditto! Now I've got only one small client's servers to maintain, need to keep my skills up. 5 years ago I was as good as Microsoft Incident 2nd tier support. No longer.

Herby, I've never been THE Windows expert around here... much bigger brains than mine.  Mr Webster, Ms O'Day (if memory serves) and the rest, thanks, so nice to see you all again.

And Pole and Sreeraj, I'm working on a newsletter now.  Just gotta clean up the mailing list.  Welcome all!

What would be most perfect is to move the large volumes of history, knowledge and helpful tips from your archives, bet then again we can "start over" and maybe never have to discuss items like "clippy", Windows ME etc [smile]

Welcome back to ALL!

Good to see there is some movement and change here, i had some trouble following Mark (no twitter/FB here) and i found out a few months ago there was a Win12R2 book he had worked on. Also, i'm sorry to say (and don't take this the wrong way please), the website _content_ is lacking (the Win12R2 can't be found there), it would be nice to see some more items on Mark's activity, if it would be just links to his interviews, presentations, etc. I'm willing to help btw, i know he's a busy man.

I've never been much in the forums here, but i will be changing that. If you can't move the old forum post, is there a way to make it read only and searchable? In that way we could at least search it (or let google handle it) and refer to it.

@Bill:  thanks, my friend.  Missed you guys.
@Dennis: life's just been pretty over-full and my writing time has suffered.   Once I'm out from under the move, though, I'm hoping things will get better.  I just have a pile of things to do -- get the web server VM on Azure, comply with some new Paypal annoyance so I can charge credit cards again, clean up the mailing list with a PowerShell script that needs constant tending and so on.  It'll all get done, I think.
@Randall -- JamesNT is working to extract the old threads on the forum and I'll host them on http://www.minasi.com.  It's under way.

It's SO good to be home.  Thank you for setting this up, Mark.  I've missed all of my friends that I had grown so close to over the years over at the old forum.

[smile]

Looking forward to learning from all of you again!
