Hmm, it seems that the Surface Pro 4 launch was a little rocky:

However, it seems like they've ironed out many of the kinks this year:

http://www.infoworld.com/article/3062656/laptop-computers/microsoft-finally-gets-the-bugs-out-of-surface-book-and-surface-pro-4.html

I've got a coal-powered dual core HP laptop that needs to be put out to pasture.    I'm mulling over picking up a Surface 4 as a replacement  now that the it's no longer the most recent model; I figure that there will be deals now to clear out remaining inventory.

Anyone have Surface 4 that they are happy/unhappy with?

Typing from you lap can be a PITA with the kickstand.  Am wishing I had a laptop where the screen would stay in place if I move a bit.

Also no red lines on my leg.

Other than that I love the Surface 4 Pro.  My wife said if I buy a new laptop she gets the Surface Pro 4...

She deserves a Surface Pro 4 anyway.

The first few months were horrible while MS/Intel worked out the skylake atrocity.  Works great now.  Looking forward to the 5 and putting this rev behind me.

I would go for the Book over the Pro since the kickstand in my lap just isn't working causing a lot of spelling errors and accidental tapping of the screen with my pinky finger causing all kinds of havoc.

Other than that minute bit of petty bitching,,, I love it!    : )

I've been happy with mine.   Turned out it was required to do a talk at Ignite.  So I'm glad I got it when I had the coin.

Sometimes it does not respond to touch here and there.  That just happened.
