Hello,

We do not need to change our corporate favorites for IE that often because they do not change.  The last time we had to update the favorites the users were on IE 9.  Now that the company is on IE 11 there is a new process to add browser favorites using GP.  I have followed the instructions to set up the new browser favorites and testing using GP successfully.  Now since my users are on IE 11, is there a way to remove the old IE 9 favorites from the users PCs without touching each PC to do so.  I am not sure removing the old IE 9 GP will also remove the browser shortcuts in IE 11 since it seems to be not updating or working on IE 11 browsers.  Any suggestions on how to remove the outdated browser settings on each of the users PCs?

Thanks!

Am I missing something?  Are favorites really outdated just because a new browser version is being used?  Why wouldn't the users want the IE 9 favorites anymore?

I will be using the same Favorites with the changes in IE11.  Favorites are still be used they are just presented and set up a completely different way then the IE 9 favorites were done in GP.  I have made the changes to the GP so that the Favorites will work correctly for IE 11.  My question is since the IE 9 GP settings is not working on IE 11 PCs what is the easiest way to go in and remove the old IE9 favorites folder that was created for the IE 9 GP.  If I apply the IE11 GP it will create a 2nd folder with the new corrected favorites on the users IE browser.  But prior to applying the IE 11 GP I want to remove the IE9 GP that entails the old browser favorites.  If I do not remove the IE9 GP that contains the old favorites my users will be confused on which is the correct update browser favorites.  So without touching every PC is there a way to remove the old IE 9 browser favorites?

I imagine that you can write a Powershell or VB script or something similar.
