Looking to build a demo lab/ labs using ADFS as well as other possible solutions and I need a valid public cert.

Is there a free cert I can get for demo purposes, does anyone know?

"free SSL certificate" displays a number of providers. Comodo comes across a the most reputable that I noticed - and good for 90 days:

https://www.comodo.com/e-commerce/ssl-certificates/free-ssl-certificate.php

Not sure what limitations there might be (besides the 90 days).

Comodo should be trusted just about everywhere by just about everyone.

Otherwise, a multitude of lesser known / unknown (to me) brands.

EDIT - concerning Comodo:

Free SSL certificates are valid for 90 days and are limited to one issuance per domain.
