Previously I know I used to be able to query a SRV record for Lync/ skype for Business with the NSLookup commands
NSlookup
Server (pick preferred DNS Server or the NS Server for the Domain)
Set q=srv
then query the SRV record.

Now or maybe just me, but I can't query my SRV records or a customers SRV records for Lync for Office 365.

I know we have them for our own site as we are hosting our own SfB servers.

I've also tried DNSStuff.com and MXToolbox.com

so what's the question? I can query SRV records on more sites than I can remember so no, it hasn't been broken by a recent patch or something. Care to post a complete (anonymised) query and the (anonymised) response?

I'm going to put it down to our network gurus doing something funky as its working today.

Code:

> _sip._tls.microsoft.com
Server:  google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address:  8.8.8.8
Non-authoritative answer:
_sip._tls.microsoft.com SRV service location:
          priority       = 0
          weight         = 0
          port           = 443
          svr hostname   = sip.microsoft.com
